The gorse demonstration day in Invermay has been postponed due to hot weather and fire danger risk. We will keep you updated on when this day will run into the future.
New interpretative signs for Mullawallah Wetlands have been installed by the Cardigan-Windermere Landcare Group along the walking track that surrounds the wetland. A fantastic effort by the group, just in time for the Christmas holidays.
The Track can be accessed via Lucas Lane, there is also access off Ibis Gardens Court and Blind Creek Road. Check it out!

The Miners Rest Landcare group recently held a working bee at the Miners Rest Common. After the moderate winter rainfall the grass was thick and lush, making a challenging job for those who came along. Regardless of this the group was able to put 60 trees in the ground. Many of the trees from previous plantings had established strong growth which was excellent to see.
The group meets on Wednesday 12th October at the Miners Rest Community Hall 7:30pm.
The first outing of Lexton landcare’s newly formed bird watching group is on Saturday 1st March, commencing at 8.00 am. We are meeting at the old dip reserve, corner of Gladstone Street and Dip Road in Lexton.
After this we will visit a Landcare project site on the Mount Emu Creek on Blackbottom Road.
Wear stout boots / shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, water bottle and binoculars. Further details as attached.
